“For 3-4 yrs I couldn’t see anything, only see hand movement. Then one day I heard through a loudspeaker that an eye camp would be held near my house. Hearing that, I went to the camp. The doctor told me that I would need an operation but not to feel scared as the surgery is not complicated. After that I came home and informed my son that I am interested in going through surgery.
I came to the hospital in Dhaka by myself. All the people at the hospital took good care of me, and gave me food for free, but we had to pay for medicines. Now I am really happy and can see really well. I can even stitch clothes!” Ms. Honufa B, Age 55. Cataract camp patient.
